Russell Wilson reiterates about his contract: 'It'll all work out'

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson couldn't quite escape the contract talks, even on the red carpet at the ESPYs. Wilson was walking hand and hand with girlfriend Ciara when asked about his current contract situation.

"It'll all work out," he said, via NFL.com

He added: "I love Seattle, it's a great city. I'm going to play my butt off every day. That's all I know, and we'll see what happens."

Later that night, head coach Pete Carroll was interviewed on another red carpet by the Seattle Times and he also talked about Wilson's contract and how important he is to the franchise.

"Well, he's crucial, as are all of our guys, and we want him back playing for us forever," Carroll said. "There's a lot of work being done. It's underway right now and maybe it happens, I don't know. We're hoping for it."

All reports indicate a deal will not get done before training camp starts in less then two weeks. The Seahawks are fortunate that Wilson has already indicated that he will not hold out and he will be ready to play and give it his all with or without a new deal in hand.
