Romo: 'I knew the risk I was running' coming back quickly

With Tony Romo reinjuring his collarbone on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys have taken some heat for putting their quarterback back out on the field this season.

FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer said that Romo was the one who pushed to get back on the field.

"I knew the risk I was running," Romo told Glazer. "I chose that, but I needed be out there with my teammates."

Romo broke his left collarbone in Week 2 against the Eagles and came back two weeks ago against the Dolphins, the first game the Cowboys (3-8) had won since his injury. But when Romo was sacked by Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis in the third quarter of Dallas's 33-14 loss on Thanksgiving, he reinjured the same collarbone.

Glazer reported that it isn't yet known if Romo will need to have another surgery since every time it's broken the bone runs the risk of healing slower. He will be evaluated in a few weeks, but Romo is out for the rest of this season.
