Robert Griffin III slips past Bills defense for score (Video)

Robert Griffin III channels his inner 2011-12 self and slips past the Buffalo Bills defenders for a crazy rushing touchdown for the Cleveland Browns.

It’s been a very long time since Robert Griffin III electrified football fields with his incredibly dual-threat ability from the quarterback position. He won the 2011 Heisman Trophy while with the Baylor Bears. Griffin would be the 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year for the 2012 Washington Redskins.

Injuries and locker room issues have derailed Griffin’s once-promising NFL career. After riding pine all of 2015 for the Redskins, Griffin signed as a free agent with the lowly Cleveland Browns. Here he is going vintage RGIII and using his legs to get into the end zone on the Buffalo Bills.

On a third and six from the Buffalo 18-yard line, Griffin would shake several Bills pass rushers with his legs to find pay dirt in the Buffalo end zone with a dive. Though the Browns were already down 17-3 to Buffalo on the road, this was a spark that the Browns would have needed to get their first win of the season.

This is only Griffin’s third start of the year for Cleveland, as he suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Cleveland has lost all 13 of its games this season. Most of the time, Hue Jackson’s football team doesn’t even cover a whopping point spread.

However, the Browns continue to play hard for Jackson and that’s all that really matters at this point for this massive rebuilding project in Cleveland. Most of this roster Jackson has to work with is full of guys 25 years of age or younger. Is Griffin going to be the starter next season is the bigger question with the Browns.
