RG3 still on track to start vs. Vikes

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is still on track to start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Griffin - who suffered a concussion last Sunday during a 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons - looked ''good'' in practice Thursday.

Shanahan says ''there didn't look like there was any setback.''

Griffin was a limited participant in the Redskins' practice Thursday, and Shanahan says the No. 2 overall pick missed only a couple plays during the session. Griffin went through the NFL's concussion protocol and was cleared to return to Wednesday's practice. His participation Wednesday was also limited.

Quarterbacks typically don't take contact during practices, so Shanahan indicated Griffin wouldn't be tested to be cleared for contact until closer to Sunday.
