Reports: Revis deal to come this week
With Nick Mangold taken care of, is Darrelle Revis about to cash in this week too?
According to several reports, the Jets' All-Pro cornerback could receive the contract extension he's been holding out for by the end of the week. The two sides reportedly are meeting to hammer out the details.
Revis, who is under contract for $1 million this season, wants to be the NFL's highest-paid cornerback, which would mean a raise of at least $15 million a year. On Tuesday the Jets made Mangold the highest-paid center, signing him to a seven-year, $55 million deal.
The Jets have said they are willing to give Revis a new deal, but it's unlikely they'll approach $16 million a year.
