Reports: Free-agent RB Maurice Jones-Drew visits Raiders

Maurice Jones-Drew could be heading home to the Bay Area.

The free-agent running back will visit the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night and Friday, a source told NFL Media'€™s Ian Rapoport.

Jones-Drew attended Concord De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., which is 20 miles north of Oakland. Rapoport notes that Jones-Drew grew up as a Raiders fan.

There's "€œa good chance"€ Jones-Drew will sign with the Raiders, a source told ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter.

The New England Patriots, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers also have shown interest in Jones-Drew in free agency.

Jones-Drew played in 15 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season after missing 10 games in 2012. He rushed for 803 yards on 234 carries with five touchdowns last season, and he added 314 yards on 43 receptions through the air.
