Report: Suh to be part of record attempt

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was set to return to his alma mater to help set a new world record, the Detroit Free Press reported Friday.

Suh, who was widely honored as the NFL's rookie of the year last season, will attend Nebraska's spring game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday to lead an effort to break the record for the globe's largest gathering of Twitter users in a single place.

The meetup, or "tweetup" as it has been coined, must be arranged entirely through the social-networking site.

The Guinness world record stands at 1,149. It was set by the Ford Motor Company in 2009 at a Fiesta Movement Awards Celebration in Los Angeles.

Suh was drafted by the Lions second overall in the 2010 NFL Draft after a glittering college career with the Cornhuskers.
