Report: Some Colts unhappy with decision to draft Dorsett

The Indianapolis Colts went against conventional wisdom in the first-round of the NFL draft, choosing to add another wide receiver to Andrew Luck's arsenal, rather than shoring up a suspect defense.

Indy's decision to take Phillip Dorsett with the team's top pick was met with skepticism and criticism from fans and local media and according to a report by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, they're not alone in their displeasure.

Florio said a league source indicated "multiple" Colts players are unhappy with the direction the team took in the first round.

Receiver T.Y. Hilton and tight ends Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener are entering contract years. Newcomer Andre Johnson is presumably eager to prove himself in a new city and second-year wideout Donte Moncrief looks to improve upon his rookie campaign.

With a bevy of pass-catchers who all want the ball, adding another player into the mix who is expected to be a contributor, is reportedly a source of friction, particularly since the team passed on a player like Alabama safety Landon Collins, who would have filled a need on defense.

The Colts did end up spending five of their eight picks addressing the defense.
