Report: Rams to exercise Michael Brockers's 2016 contract option

The Rams have decided to exercise their fifth year option on defensive tackle Michael Brockers.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the team will pick up the option before the May 3 deadline.

Brockers will earn just over $5 million in 2016. He had previously been on a four-year contract worth $9.52 million that he signed as a rookie.
