Report: Patriots ink CB Browner for three years

A four-game suspension didn’t deter the Patriots from signing their second cornerback in the league year.

Brandon Browner agreed to a three-year deal worth $17 million with New England on Friday, according to ESPN. The Patriots agreed to terms with former All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis earlier this week, though nothing has been formally announced.

Browner, who was indefinitely suspended during the Seahawks’ run to the Super Bowl, was reinstated last week but must serve a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.

With Browner and Revis’ addition, it stabilizes a unit who has young emerging talent including Logan Ryan and Alfonzo Dennard.

Browner played in Seattle for three seasons and made a Pro Bowl in 2011.
