Report: Packers want Eddie Lacy to lose 30 pounds
Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy struggled to control his weight in 2015, and he only rushed for 758 yards as a result. This was a major letdown, since he eclipsed 1,100 rushing yards in each of his first two seasons.
Before next season, the Packers reportedly want Lacy to lose 30 pounds.

Key part of #Packers plan to return to dominance: GB wants Eddie Lacy to lose 30 pounds. He's committed to it, thru camp or fitness program

The Packers list Lacy at 234 pounds on the team's official website, but there's little doubt that he played well above that weight in 2015. In his end of the year press conference, head coach Mike McCarthy was clear in his criticism of the starting running back's work ethic.
Via Pro Football Talk:
Eddie’s got a lot of work to do. I’m stating the obvious. His offseason last year was not what it should be and he never recovered from it. He cannot play at the weight he did this year.
Lacy still averaged more than four yards per carry in 2015, so it's not like the former Alabama star suddenly lost his effectiveness. His weight problem hurt his stamina, though. Instead of recording 240-plus carries like he did in his first two seasons, he recorded only 187 rushing attempts.
The Packers can't trust Lacy to be their primary ball-carrier if his physical condition prevents him from handling the full workload of a featured running back.
