Report: Oakland has fallback plans for keeping the Raiders in town

By June 21, Raiders owner Mark Davis expects his stadium strategist to land a financial plan that'll bridge a $400 million funding gap.

But the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority has a backup plan if that doesn't happen, according to ESPN.

"If a deal with (Oakland stadium strategist) Floyd Kephart doesn’t happen, we are open to other options," Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority executive director Scott McKibben said. "And we are prepared to do quickly if that occurs."

Stadium plans will reach a crescendo this month, one way or another. McKibben knows he's up against the clock -- and the looming prospect of Los Angeles relocation.

"We need to get something done sooner than later," he said.
