Report: Longtime Bengals CB Leon Hall to sign with Giants
Leon Hall, who has started 105 games in nine seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals, reportedly will have a new team Thursday, when he’s expected to sign with the New York Giants.
Hall, 31, had offseason back surgery and wasn’t re-signed by the Bengals, who drafted William Jackson in the first round. But Jackson suffered a torn pectoral this week, which led the Bengals to reportedly engage Hall in talks.
The Giants, though, had Hall in for a visit Wednesday, and he’ll add to a cornerbacks group that includes Janoris Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and rookie Eli Apple.
Hall is 10th among active players with 26 career interceptions and had two in 14 games for the Bengals in 2015. He started four of the 14 games he played in last season. It was the first time since his 2007 rookie season that he wasn’t a full-time starter.
Giants are signing former Bengals CB Leon Hall, as @Rand_Getlin reported.
