Report: Lamarr Houston says 49ers QB Kaepernick did use racial slur

The Colin Kaepernick-Lamarr Houston slur saga just got more interesting.

Last week Kaepernick was fined more than $11,000 by the NFL for what an official called "inappropriate language" following a fourth-quarter interception in the San Francisco 49ers' 28-20 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 2.

On Monday, Houston was flagged for the same thing, according to the Chicago Tribune:

Kaepernick has reiterated that he did nothing wrong when he and Houston went at it — and Kaepernick points to Houston's comments that the quarterback didn't say anything offensive or out of line. Kaepernick shoved Houston.

"It will be appealed," Kaepernick said. "I didn't say anything. Lamarr Houston said I didn't say anything. We're going to leave it at that."

Side judge Laird Hayes threw the flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. On Sunday, FOX Sports Football insider Jay Glazer reported that Kaepernick used “the n-word” and that’s why he was flagged. With that report out, Houston backtracked on Monday night after a win over the Jets.
