Report: Jimmy Graham cut off communication with ex-Saints teammates last week

The Seattle Seahawks are making a trip south to New Orleans, where they’re taking on Drew Brees and the Saints. While there are obviously playoff implications on the line – primarily for the Seahawks – their visit to the Superdome is most relevant for Seattle's Jimmy Graham.

It’s the first time Graham will face his former team since being traded to the Seahawks last March, making it a homecoming of sorts for the big tight end. As a result, Graham has reportedly taken measures to remain focused ahead of kickoff.

According to NFL Network, Graham cut off communication with his former Saints teammates during the week leading up to the game.

Drew Brees, who’s a good friend of Graham’s, said he hadn’t talked to his former tight end this week.

"We're great friends," Brees said, via NOLA.com. "He's like a brother to me. He really is. But I know this week he's probably going to be locked and loaded just like I will be this week."

Graham has played well in the past few weeks, catching 23 passes for 355 yards and a touchdown in his last four games. He’ll look to continue his hot streak on Sunday in New Orleans.
