Report: Jets believe Geno Smith has a torn ACL

The Jets suspect quarterback Geno Smith tore his ACL in Sunday’s win over the Ravens, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports.

Smith, who was making his first start of the season, was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a knee injury in the first quarter and ruled out for the rest of the game after halftime. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was benched in favor of Smith during last week’s loss to the Cardinals, came in to replace him and won the game.

The 26-year-old started just one game in 2015 after losing his job to Fitzpatrick over the off-season.
