Report: Dolphins CB Jamar Taylor (quadriceps) could miss two weeks

For the most part, the Miami Dolphins have remained relatively healthy throughout training camp. Losing safety Louis Delmas was a huge blow, but the defense has remained on the field for much of training camp.

At cornerback, however, the Dolphins may be without a starter for a few weeks. Presumed No. 2 cornerback Jamar Taylor left Saturday's game with a quadriceps injury and did not return.

On Tuesday, the Dolphins got a better idea of how serious the injury was, with Taylor expected to be sidelined for 10 to 14 days, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.

Taylor has had injury trouble throughout his young career. He's missed 11 games in two seasons and has started just three for the dolphins. He's expected to have a much bigger role this season if he can remain healthy.

Taylor has been battling Brice McCain for the starting job opposite Brent Grimes, which makes this injury even more significant. Taylor has to prove he can stay healthy if he hopes to make an impact this season and earn a long-term deal in Miami.
