Report: Chiefs hopeful for a Justin Houston (knee) postseason return
The Kansas City Chiefs will need to generate a pass rush without Justin Houston for the remainder of the regular season.
The team is hopeful its star outside linebacker can return if the Chiefs solidify a postseason berth, though.
Houston sprained his PCL against the Buffalo Bills in Week 12. He hasn't seen the field since, and reports surfaced that he could visit Dr. James Andrews to assess the extent of the injury.
The Chiefs shut Houston down for the regular season soon after. They'll rely on upstart reserve Dee Ford opposite Tamba Hali for the stretch run. Ford had three sacks, seven tackles and a pass breakup while filling in for Houston in Week 14.
If the Chiefs' seven-game winning streak entering Sunday leads to a spot in the AFC playoffs, Houston could come back to help.
