Report: Caldwell out if Colts go winless

Indianapolis Colts coach Jim Caldwell will lose his job if the team finishes the season winless, NFL.com reported Wednesday, citing sources.

The Colts, who have been without their four-time MVP quarterback Peyton Manning for the entire campaign, are 0-13 and close out the season with home games against Tennessee (7-6) and Houston (10-3), and a trip to Jacksonville (4-9).

The source said losses in all three matches would certainly see the 56-year-old Caldwell fired after three seasons at the helm.

In his first year in charge, the Colts topped the AFC South with a 14-2 record, and lost to the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV. The team's 14-0 start was an NFL record for a rookie head coach.

Last year, Indianapolis topped the AFC South again, finishing the year 10-6, but lost to the New York Jets in the AFC Wild Card Game.
