Report: Browns WR Corey Coleman breaks hand during practice

Browns rookie wideout Corey Coleman broke his hand during Wednesday’s practice, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Coleman reportedly caught a pass and had another player land on the hand. It is currently unclear how much time he will miss.

The Browns have lost several players to injury this season, including quarterback Robert Griffin III and backup quarterback Josh McCown. Coleman had quickly emerged as one of the team’s top receivers, catching five passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns in his second career game last week and drawing eight targets.

Coleman was the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft. He had been starting alongside Terrelle Pryor, and leaves a major hole in a depleted passing game. Third round pick Cody Kessler is slated to start at quarterback during in week’s game against Miami.
