Report: Aguilera to perform at Super Bowl

Pop singer Christina Aguilera will perform the national anthem at Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, Texas, sources told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday.

The NFL championship game will be played Sunday, Feb. 6. Aguilera's performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" will come shortly before the 6:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

Aguilera, 30, last performed at the Super Bowl in 2000 during the halftime show, sharing the stage with Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias and English rocker Phil Collins. She recently starred in the movie "Burlesque."

The league would not comment on the report about Aguilera's participation.

Hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas will perform at halftime.
