Redskins rookie WR Jamison Crowder has another strong game in Week 5
The Washington Redskins knew they found something special in fourth-round draft pick Jamison Crowder when he dominated the Redskins' training camp joint practices with the Houston Texans. After head coach Jay Gruden made the decision to bench wide receiver Andre Roberts prior to Week 4, Crowder was elevated into the starting slot receiver role.
After finishing with seven catches for 65 yards in Week 4, Crowder truly broke out in Week 5. He caught eight passes on just eight targets for 87 yards receiving.
Crowder made several impressive first down catches showing off his unique lateral explosion on two screen passes. Over the last three games, Crowder has 21 receptions. He has settled into a big role for the Redskins with both DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed out with injuries.
