Redskins add depth with defensive lineman Jerrell Powe

The Washington Redskins added depth to their talented defensive front on Monday when they signed free agent Jerrell Powe. Powe spent the 2014 season with the Texans as a rotational player who started three games. Before that, he spent time with the Chiefs.

Powe is likely to remain a rotational player with the Redskins. The team brought in big ticket free agents Terrance Knighton and Stephen Paea to join a three-man front that already included defensive end Jason Hatcher. Powe will provide depth and experience after playing in a similar defensive scheme.
