Record crowd came out to watch Packers lose to Lions at Lambeau Field

Green Bay Packers fans picked the wrong week to set a new attendance record. Over 78,000 people were at Lambeau Field to watch the Packers lose to the Detroit Lions, 18-16, on Sunday afternoon.

The Packers entered the game with a share of first place in the NFC North. The Lions, on the other hand, had only one win. On top of that, the Lions had not beat the Packers at Lambeau since 1991 before Sunday (23 straight losses).

The Green Bay faithful must have been shocked by the Packers' performance in Week 10. Even though they were coming off back-to-back losses, this looked like a game that would help the team rediscover its stride. That, of course, turned out not to be the case.

The record crowd was audibly upset throughout the game.

Now, losers of three straight, the 6-3 Packers have some serious soul searching to do this week.
