Ravens' Suggs active vs. Texans
Six months after sustaining a torn Achilles tendon on the basketball court, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs will suit up and play against the Houston Texans, the team announced.
Suggs, who was placed on the non-football injury list in April, has participated all week in practice and it was expected that he would make his return. It couldn’t come at a better time.
The Ravens defense is ailing after losing linebacker Ray Lewis, who was placed on the injured reserve with designation to return with a torn triceps. Starting cornerback Lardarius Webb tore his ACL.
Baltimore’s pass rush should have an immediate impact with the return of the 2011 defensive player of the year.
