Ravens reach agreement with cornerback Kyle Arrington

The Ravens have finally addressed their secondary by reaching agreement on a three-year deal with free agent cornerback Kyle Arrington, pending a physical.

Arrington was released by the Patriots on Monday, and was scooped up quickly by Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome despite some interest from New England to bring Arrington back at a reduced salary.

Both Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh indicated Tuesday that the Ravens were in the market for a corner. The team decided not to spend a high draft pick on a defensive back, instead waiting until nabbing Tray Walker in the fourth round out of Texas Southern.

Arrington is an ideal fit in the slot for the Ravens, whose secondary was ravaged by injuries last season. The 28-year-old veteran has collected nine interceptions with 352 tackles thus far in his six-year career.
