Ravens bring CB Asa Jackson back to practice squad
Cornerback Asa Jackson is back in Baltimore after a two-day stay in New York.
Jackson, released by the Ravens last Saturday, was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants, but was quickly given his walking papers on Tuesday without ever getting a chance to wear a Giants uniform.
The Ravens pounced on the chance to bring back Jackson after he cleared waivers to finish off a hectic back-and-forth week. Jackson will join Baltimore's practice squad, replacing waived receiver Daniel Brown.
Not only does Jackson give the Ravens more depth at corner, he'll also get another crack at the team's returning gig. Jackson returned a kickoff 103 yards during the preseason but he also had issues with holding onto the football.
Jackson appeared in seven games for the Ravens last season with six starts. The fourth-year corner registered 28 tackles with three passes defensed in 2014.
