Rams' WR on Foles: 'That's the best quarterback I ever played with'

Nick Foles is already commanding respect from his new teammates.

Particularly, wide receiver Chris Givens, who heaped plenty of praise to back his new signal caller.

“That’s the best quarterback I ever played with in my life,” Givens said. “He’s a football player, if you know what I mean, and I think we’re all excited about what he brings to this team. That’s not a knock on anybody else; everybody has their own way of doing things and I just feel like Nick is a great fit for this team.”

Quite the praise for Foles, who has yet to play a single down for the Rams. But apparently, his work in training camp thus far has rubbed off on Givens, who is entering his fourth NFL season.

It's hard to argue against Givens' statement considering last season's mess at quarterback for the Rams. Sam Bradford missed the entire year, and Shaun Hill and Austin Davis split eight starts apiece under center. Even Bradford's health was sporadic as he started seven games in 2013.

Givens' best year as a pro came during his rookie campaign when Bradford played in all 16 contests. That year he posted 42 receptions for 698 yards and three touchdowns.
