Rams' Jared Goff Throws 1st Career TD Pass: Video
Los Angeles Rams rookie quarterback Jared Goff threw his first career touchdown pass on Sunday.
In his second career start, Los Angeles Rams rookie and former No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff has thrown his first career touchdown pass.
The beautiful throw came in the first quarter of the Rams’ game versus the New Orleans Saints.
Goff threw a straight dime to wide receiver Tavon Austin to cap a successful first drive of the game, giving the Rams an early 7-0 lead:

The entire drive was a six-play, 75-yard march down the field and was a great start for a Rams offense that desperately needs to put points on the board. What’s even better is that Goff did it.
As we wrote about the other day, first-year signal-callers have fared well in the Superdome since 2012. Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Robert Griffin III and Colin Kaepernick are all first-year starters or rookies who have won their and put up impressive numbers.
Goff looks like he might be the next after that play. Rams fans can only hope this is just the start of what could be a big game for the rookie.
The Rams have scored 10 points or less in each of their last four games, one of which Goff started. So far so good in Week 12, as Los Angeles looked primed to break out of their slump.
