Quincy Enunwa Makes Insane, Clutch Touchdown Catch (Video)
New York Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa has been making a name for himself and continued that trend with a crazy touchdown catch in the clutch.
The New York Jets have a new rising star on the offensive side of the ball and his name is Quincy Enunwa. Previously third on the depth chart behind the elite duo of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, Enunwa is growing into his own as one of the most impressive players on the Jets offense.
And he scored one of the best touchdowns of the season in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.
WHAT. A. CATCH.
After review…@QuincyEnunwa was IN.@NYJets TD! #NEvsNYJ https://t.co/AGz6RhgstY

The referees initially ruled it incomplete, but they decided to give Enunwa the call after review. I’m glad they did, too, because there’s nothing more buzzkilling than seeing a wide receiver losing a touchdown on a call. I can’t believe Enunwa made a play on this ball and I also can’t believe he managed to stay in bounds (or at least fool the refs into thinking that he did—got to appease any salty Patriots fans reading this).
Enunwa’s touchdown couldn’t have come at a better time either. The Jets were down 13-10 in the fourth quarter against the rival Patriots, and Enunwa pulled this rabbit out of the hat. Earlier this game, he had a long reception for 40 yards on the right side, showing excellent awareness and body control to pull that one in. He clearly one-upped himself on this 22-yard play to cap off the long drive.
Give the assist to Todd Bowles, who astutely challenged the play.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, by the way, was on fire against New England. Enunwa led the team with 86 yards on four catches after his touchdown, but Fitzpatrick was the star man with 241 yards, two scores, and no picks (wow!) on 20-of-28 passing. Yes, he was outclassing Tom Brady.
