QB Vick, former coach Dungy detail prison chat
When Tony Dungy visited Michael Vick in prison last year, the quarterback didn't start the conversation by talking about missing the limelight or his NFL paycheck.
Dungy says Vick talked about reconnecting with his kids. They met up again Saturday at the Bart Starr Award breakfast as part of Super Bowl week.
Vick spent 18 months in prison for his role in a dogfighting ring. He said his children were devastated by the situation.
Vick says he told Dungy that he wanted to redeem himself after his incarceration ended. The former Indianapolis coach says he was intrigued by Vick's responses during their lengthy conversation at the federal penitentiary.
Quarterback Kurt Warner, who recently announced his retirement, won the award.
