Prince Amukamara to grab Antrel Rolle's WFAN radio spot

There is competition at every level, especially among the ranks of sports radio stations vying for listeners at all times. Last week, ESPN Radio announced that Odell Beckham Jr. would be taking over for Antrel Rolle as a weekly guest this season on "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN radio 98.7 FM in New York. On Tuesday, WFAN announced that New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara will have a weekly spot on Tuesdays with Joe during the NFL season--a spot previously occupied by Mr. Rolle.

Fellow cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie admitted that Amukamara has emerged as the captain of the secondary in Rolle's absence. However, Amukamara leads by a different style than Rolle ever did. Rolle wore his heart on his sleeve at all times, and this made for excellent radio--bold statements became Rolle's trademark in his radio spots. Amukamara is a more reserved leader who likes to lead by example. It will certainly be interesting to see how that type of personality makes his mark in a radio spot.
