Plaxico Burress explains stark contrast between Jets and Giants organizations

Former New York Giants, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress appeared on "The Herd" on Monday where he discussed the state of the New York franchises and his experiences as a part of them.

Burress, who last appeared in the NFL in 2012 with Pittsburgh, offered praise for the Giants organization before describing the Jets in bleaker terms.

"It just didn't seem to me that [the Jets] knew exactly what they were trying to do" Burress said. "They drafted guys who were high in the draft. A lot of those guys didn't pan out and it was almost as if when you walk through the door, it was that feeling of 'Man, I hope we win this week.' It was almost that kind of feeling."

The Jets (4-9) managed to eke out an overtime win at San Francisco on Sunday in quarterback Bryce Petty's first career road start, but overall the team has been a major disappointment in 2016.
