Peyton Manning misses part of 2nd quarter, returns despite flu-like symptoms

UPDATE: Peyton Manning has returned to the game for the Broncos' first drive of the second half against the Chargers.

SAN DIEGO -- Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning played Sunday's game despite suffering from flu-like symptoms, but eventually went to the locker room.

The Broncos are trying to clinch their fourth straight AFC West title.

Despite being ill, Manning completed a 36-yard pass to Demaryius Thomas to help set up Connor Barth's 19-yard field goal and a 30-yarder to Julius Thomas to set up Barth's 26-yard field goal to give the Broncos a 6-0 lead.

Manning was replaced by Brock Osweiler in the second quarter.
