Peterson bails Bridgewater out of sack with 49-yard catch-and-run

This is the definition of a back-breaking play.

Down 14-3 with the Minnesota Vikings facing a third-and-one, the Detroit Lions appeared to have quarterback Teddy Bridgewater wrapped up for a big loss in the backfield. While going to the ground, Bridgewater threw an underhand toss to running back Adrian Peterson, who was able to break free.

Peterson's catch-and-run covered a total of 49 yards. It was his longest reception since 2009, according to ESPN's Ben Goessling.
