Pete Carroll: 'One moment does not define you'

What a difference a year can make for a former Super Bowl winning coach.

In February 2014, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was on top of the football world after winning the big game and bringing home the franchise's first Lombardi Trophy.

After last Sunday's 28-24 loss against the New England Patriots, Carroll has come under great scrutiny for the play call that led to a Russell Wilson-thrown interception on the goal line, which in turn sealed the game.

Since then, Carroll and the Seahawks have been dealing with the loss in their own respective ways. But as Carroll plans for the future, which includes an offseason of player turnover, contract extensions and a new draft class, the 63-year-old head coach looked to the long game as he summed up his thoughts on Twitter Thursday morning:

For Carroll, whose mantra is to "win forever," coming up short shouldn't deter his enthusiasm or fire for greatness.
