Pete Carroll on Tyler Lockett: He looked 'very special' in debut

Tyler Lockett looked as good as advertised in his preseason debut.

The Kansas State standout ripped off a 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, leaving his coaching staff and teammates gushing about his big-play ability.

"I thought Lockett's 83-yard touchdown was pretty good. See, I didn't see the last 20," head coach Pete Carroll said. "But Lock did a great job tonight. He lit it up in kickoff return, punt return. It was great to see that. We all know that's exactly what we were hoping to see. He looked very special tonight."

It was the Seahawks hope that Lockett would make an impact on special teams when they traded four picks to select him in the third round - and he certainly showed that right away.

Throughout training camp, though, Lockett has also received positive reviews about his abilities at wide receiver.

It's scary to think how good the Seahawks offense can be if Lockett continues to develop.
