Penalty spoils Odell Beckham Jr.'s LeBron-inspired celebration
The New York Giants got creative with Odell Beckham Jr. against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and it almost worked to perfection.
Early in the fourth quarter, Beckham went back to return a punt – something he’s only done a couple of times this season. He fielded it at the Giants’ 41-yard line and knifed through the Browns coverage unit for a spectacular touchdown. Unfortunately, it was called back due to a holding penalty.
That didn’t stop Beckham from channeling his inner LeBron James in Cleveland by pulling off two of his trademark moves.
Cleveland fans probably didn’t appreciate Beckham stealing their hometown hero’s iconic celebrations, but it was all for naught thanks to the penalty.
Also, check out Britton Colquitt’s reaction upon hearing about the flag. He was pleased, to say the least.
Beckham did get his LeBron fix in later in the game on this touchdown reception.
