Panthers star cornerback Josh Norman reportedly wants a mega contract

Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman doesn't back down from anyone, just ask Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. But it appears the outspoken corner is letting the team know what he wants financially, and it's a doozy.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Norman is seeking $16 million a year. That annual figure would top Jets' cornerback Darrelle Revis' $14 million a year, making Norman the top-paid corner in the league.

Norman has emerged as one of the game's best DBs since being drafted by the Panthers in the fifth round in 2012. He was named to his first Pro Bowl in 2015, after collecting a career-high four intereceptions. The team put the franchise tag on Norman, who would be paid a guaranteed $13.95 million in 2016.

Norman gained national attention when he got into mutiple on-field altercations with Beckham in December.
