Panthers and Dolphins announce joint practices for training camp

Joint practices have become a hot trend over the past couple of seasons as many teams across the NFL have opted to get some different looks in competition by scrimmaging with other teams during training camp.

On Thursday, the Miami Dolphins announced that they will be practicing with the Carolina Panthers during the week of their preseason game set to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 22. The joint practices will take place on August 19 and 20 at Wofford College in South Carolina.

The joint practice sessions allow for teams to better evaluate players during training camp as they will be facing fresh competition as opposed to the same players they face every day in practice. It also allows teams to change up the monotony that could come with training camp during the hot summer days.
