Panthers add cornerback depth by signing Chris Houston

Chris Houston has officially found a new home. The former Detroit Lion and Atlanta Falcon is now being welcomed in Charlotte as the newest member of the Carolina Panthers, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

"Houston was released by the Lions around this time last year amid concerns that he wouldn’t recover well enough from toe surgery to resume his playing career. He sat out the entire season after getting dropped in Detroit, so it’s been a while since anyone’s seen Houston on the field." Alper explains.

Could the Panthers have just grabbed a steal in their secondary? It's definitely possible, but the 30-year-old cornerback has plenty of tread on the tires. As for how much is left, well, that remains to be seen.
