Packers fans starting to blame Olivia Munn for Rodgers' struggles

The Green Bay Packers are riding a three-game losing streak, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn't been so great during the team's current skid. Nothing during Green Bay's 6-0 start signaled an impending meltdown, so Packers fans are struggling to come up with answers.

One Journal Sentinel commenter thinks he knows what's up. According to him, Rodgers' girlfriend, Hollywood actress Olivia Munn, is to blame for the team's slump and the All-Pro passer's pedestrian outings.

It sounds crazy, but ESPN's Rob Demovsky, a Packers beat writer, gave credence to this theory in a recent column titled "Five reasons why Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is struggling." Under the subhead "Possible off-field issues?" Demovsky wrote the following:

Since then, Twitter has flooded with thoughts on the issue. Several Packers fans agreed with the sentiment that Munn is to blame for Rodgers' so-so performances and the team's struggles overall.

The Green Bay fan base has been spoiled by stellar teams, highlighted by otherworldly quarterback play, ever since Rodgers led the Packers to a victory in Super Bowl XLV. Rodgers, who earned an MVP honor for his performance in that game, has won two league MVP awards since then (2011, 2014).

As a result of his excellence, Rodgers' recent stretch of lukewarm play sticks out like a sore thumb. His fans have no real explanation for what may be just a minor funk, so anything seems plausible. But by blaming Munn, they are really grasping at straws.
