Packers could get a big lift from WR Davante Adams this week

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could have another weapon in the fold for the team's Week 8 matchup with the Denver Broncos, as wide receiver Davante Adams (ankle) was back at practice on Monday.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was optimistic about Adams' availability for next Sunday, according to the team's official Twitter account.

Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media saw Adams in action and snapped a picture of him at practice. He shared McCarthy's sentiment about the second-year receiver's availability.

The Packers benefitted from a well-timed bye week this season. In addition to Adams, Green Bay also had defensive tackle B.J. Raji (groin), safety Morgan Burnett (calf) and linebacker Nick Perry (shoulder) were all on the field during Monday's practice, according to Michael Cohen of the Journal Sentinel.
