Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. thinks he would have been fined if he were the one to jump into the Salvation Army bucket

Sunday night in the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, stud rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott scored yet another touchdown, and he celebrated that score by jumping right into the Salvation Army bucket that was behind the end zone. Of course, because this is the “No Fun League,” he was flagged and many wondered whether or not he would be fined as well.

Monday, we learned that Elliott would in fact not have to cough up some money for the flag, which might leave some of his peers to believe that there’s some favoritism involved. Apparently, Odell Beckham Jr. is one of these peers.

After we learned that Elliott would not be fined, Beckham tweeted out the theory that if he were to perform such an act, he’s have to reach into his wallet.

At this point, though, Beckham is a much more polarizing figure in the NFL world than Elliott is, despite the rookie out of Ohio State having one of the best first years that we have ever seen. Beckham knows this, so it really is easy to understand why he’d see things this way.

Also, he’s owed a lot of money for fines this season alone.

Really, though, in the end, no one should be fined for doing what Elliott did on Sunday night. Heck, you can even argue that the initial flag should not have been thrown.
