NFL Week 7 top plays: Colts-49ers, Cardinals-Texans, Bears-Buccaneers, more

Week 7 of the NFL proved to be a wild one.

In the Sunday finale, Carson Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts proved to be road warriors after defeating Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers in the rain in San Francisco, 30-18.

Earlier, Jared Goff lost his first game back in Los Angeles since being traded to Detroit as the Lions fell to Matthew Stafford and the Rams, 28-19. The Lions are now 0-7 on the season. On the other side, the 7-0 Arizona Cardinals kept their record perfect as they dominated the Houston Texans, 31-5, at home.

The Green Bay Packers improved to 6-1 after taking down the Washington Football Team 24-10. Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes struggled mightily against the Tennessee Titans as the Kansas City Chiefs dropped to 3-4, and Sam Darnold was benched in the Carolina Panthers' 25-3 loss to the New York Giants.

And in other action, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals topped Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, 41-17, while Mac Jones and the New England Patriots dropped 54 on the New York Jets

Here are the top moments from Sunday's action-packed slate.

Indianapolis Colts 30, San Francisco 49ers 18

San Fran strikes

Elijah Mitchell capped an eight-play, 78-yard drive with this 14-yard rush for a 49ers touchdown.

For The Shoe

The Colts made it a two-point game on this catch-and-run touchdown from Mo Alie-Cox.

Fancy footwork

Jonathan Taylor showed off his moves on this 33-yard rush to get the Colts deep into Niners' territory …

Turnover time

… But Wentz threw a red-zone pick right to the defense, ending Indy's drive early.

San Francisco returned the favor when Darius Leonard forced this fumble a few drives later.

PI to TD

The Colts caught a break toward the end of the half when the 49ers were called for pass interference in the end zone, and the ball was subsequently spotted on the 1-yard line. Three plays later, Wentz ran it in for six.

Heading into the break, Indianapolis led 13-12 after a failed two-point conversion.

Coming through

In the third, Taylor went untouched for six as the Colts extended their lead to 20-12.

Airing it out

Deebo Samuel was the star of the 49ers' fourth-quarter touchdown drive.

He reeled in a 29-yard bomb from Garoppolo to move the sticks, before finding the end zone to make it a two-point game, 20-18.

Rhodes Closed

Colts CB Xavier Rhodes came up with a huge interception late in the game.

After review, it was determined that Rhodes stepped out of bounds before reaching the end zone, but Indy ended up finding the end zone on that drive anyway, and things ended there.

Los Angeles Rams 28, Detroit Lions 19

Coming in hot

D'Andre Swift took it to the house for a Lions TD on Detroit's first drive of the game.

Tomfoolery

The Lions had a few more tricks up their sleeve, including this onside kick in the first frame, followed by a fake punt.

Within arm's reach

Rams receiver Van Jefferson snagged this ball to pull L.A. within three.

Double trouble

To start the second half, it was a one-point game, and Detroit kept the Rams on their toes.

The Lions pulled off their second fake punt of the game, this time going for a 28-yard gain.

Show up, show out

Cooper Kupp lit up the field with this 59-yard catch from Stafford before finding the end zone for his second TD catch of the day.

Birthday INT

Jalen Ramsey came up with a clutch red-zone interception for the Rams to deny the Lions in the fourth.

Las Vegas Raiders 33, Philadelphia Eagles 22

Fly high

Raiders respond

The Raiders fired back by charging down the field into Eagles' territory.

Las Vegas knotted the score at 7 when Derek Carr found Foster Moreau – who is in for an injured Darren Waller

Josh Jacobs came up with a clutch one-handed snag that set up a go-ahead touchdown for the Raiders headed into the break.

Jalen squared

Jalen Reagor snagged this throw from Jalen Hurts in the fourth to cut Las Vegas' lead, but it wasn't enough to kickstart a comeback, and things ended there.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38, Chicago Bears 3

Spin moves

Chris Godwin showed off his athleticism on this grab as the Buccaneers bulldozed their way into Bears territory.

TB12

Tampa Bay extended its lead on this toss from Tom Brady to Godwin.

On the ensuing possession, Brady notched his 600th career touchdown on this strike to Mike Evans. Brady is the first player to reach the milestone.

The gift that keeps on giving

Evans snagged his second touchdown of the day on this dart from Brady …

… Followed by yet another score, good for Evans' third TD catch and Brady's fourth TD throw of the first half.

With that throw, Brady tied Drew Brees for the most games with four passing touchdowns in NFL history (37).

Arizona Cardinals 31, Houston Texans 5

Red Sea

In the second quarter, Kyler Murray launched this 41-yard bomb to A.J. Green, which set up an Arizona TD.

Automatic

We don't know what's more impressive on this play, Murray's throw under pressure or DeAndre Hopkins' sideline catch. Headed into the break, the Cardinals led 17-5.

Welcome to AZ!

Zach Ertz snatched this ball out of the sky for a 47-yard touchdown as the Cardinals took a commanding 19-point lead.

Green Bay Packers 24, Washington Football Team 10

Bad man

No biggie – just Aaron Rodgers doing Aaron Rodgers things. Look at the finesse on this throw.

Scary Terry

This Terry McLaurin fellow is pretty talented. This touchdown tied things at seven.

Lazard Hazard

Allen Lazard had a phenomenal drive to end the half, including posting this touchdown to put Green Bay up 14-7.

Go Pack Go

Rodgers to Robert Tonyan is a developing dynamic duo. Just look at this connection.

Unguardable

There's just no way to stop this. Salute, Davante Adams.

Tennessee Titans 27, Kansas City Chiefs 3

Jack of all trades

Derrick Henry doesn't just run for touchdowns. This time, he beat the Chiefs' defense on a throw for six.

Dicing 'em up

Ryan Tannehill found A.J. Brown on a deep fade to give Tennessee a 14-0 advantage early.

Made you look!

Henry drew a lot of attention on this play, and Tannehill took advantage of that by faking this toss to him before trekking into the end zone himself.

New York Giants 35, Carolina Panthers 3

Not in our house!

The Giants gambled and lost on this fourth-down try at the goal line.

Take precaution

New York got on the board in the second quarter with this safety.

Jones, WR1?

Daniel Jones showed off some sneaky athleticism on this doozy of a grab.

Back to old habits

Jones threw a dart from under center to Dante Pettis for six. The score gave New York a 12-3 edge.

Book it.

Tua TD

Atlanta's Kyle Pitts flashed his receiver skills at tight end.

Cold-blooded

Matty Ice dialed up this deep shot to Russell Gage for six to open the second half.

Walking the tightrope

Myles Gaskin kept his footing to bring Miami within one score, 27-21.

Lead change!

After a forced fumble, Mack Hollins hauled in this critical score to put the Fins up 28-27.

For the win

In the end, it all came down to this field goal from Younghoe Koo to secure the win for the Falcons.

New England Patriots 54, New York Jets 13

A little trickery

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels went DEEP into his play-calling bag on this double pass for six.

Pound the rock

The Pats continued to run all over the Jets and got a scoring boost from Brandon Bolden to put them up 24-7 in the first half.

Cincinnati Bengals 41, Baltimore Ravens 17

Going deep

Bengals' tight end C.J. Uzomah got in on the celebration on National Tight Ends Day.

Bread and butter

But the Ravens punched back with using the ground game.

Speed demon

Ravens wideout Marquise Brown got behind the defense and pulled in this amazing fingertip grab for a score.

U saw that?

Uzomah hauled in this pass and made a man miss to open the door for six, which put the Bengals up 20-17.

Freestylin'

Ja'Marr Chase continued his hot streak with this 82-yard run to the house!
