NFL Week 7 injury roundup: Cody Kessler is fourth Browns QB hurt
Two teams with messy quarterback situations had more bad luck on Sunday.
Geno Smith’s first start of the season didn’t go as planned. The Jets quarterback was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a knee injury and listed as questionable to return. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was benched in favor of Smith during last week’s loss to the Cardinals, came in to replace him.
Meanwhile, in Cincinnati, Cody Kessler became the fourth Browns quarterback to be injured this season. He was taken to the locker room for a concussion evaluation and replaced by Kevin Hogan.
A full list of injuries we’re tracking is below.
Geno Smith, Jets — Knee, questionable
Smith threw a 69-yard touchdown to Quincy Enunwa before he was hurt. Fitzpatrick found Forte for a touchdown on his first series.

Nick Mangold, Jets — Ankle, questionable
