NFL playoff results: Brady, Pats rally to beat Seahawks for title

What a finish to the 2014-15 season.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots rallied from a 10-point deficit and defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday night in Glendale, Ariz.

It's the fourth Super Bowl championship for the Pats in the Brady-Bill Belichick era ... but with less than a minute remaining it sure seemed like Brady was headed to his third title-game loss instead of a third Super Bowl MVP.

After Brady steered a late go-ahead drive, hitting 8 of 8 passes concluding with his fourth TD of the night — a 3-yarder to Julian Edelman with 2:02 to go — for a 28-24 lead, the Seahawks managed to work their way down to the Pats' 1-yard line with less than a minute remaining.

Seattle faced a second-and-goal at the 1 and had a timeout in its pocket.

That's when New England rookie corner Malcolm Butler stepped in front of Seattle wideout Ricardo Lockette and picked off a Russell Wilson pass to secure the Patriots victory.
