NFL: 26 players have confirmed they will attend the draft
You will notice below that some of the biggest prospects set to be selected in the upcoming 2015 NFL Draft will not be on hand for the annual event in Chicago later this month according to a list posted on Twitter by Randall Liu, the NFL's Director of NFC Football Communications.
In fact, when looking at the FOX Sports big board for the draft, about one-quarter of Joe Klatt’s top 20 will not be in attendance.
We already know that quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston are not planning to attend the draft. It would be the first time since the advent of the modern draft that the first two picks have not been on the podium when selected.
Of the 26 players that have been confirmed, there are a nice amount who might be waiting in the green room for a while. As of right now, D.J. Humphries, Kevin Johnson, Byron Jones, Breshad Perriman, Devin Smith, Jaelen Strong and Laken Tomlinson are nowhere near locks to go in the first round.
That could set up some awkward moments as the first day of the draft unfolds two weeks from Thursday.
