The New York Giants Mock Draft includes improvements to both offensive and defensive lines. They will also be looking to add depth to key offensive positions.
The New York Giants showed signs of weakness during their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers a week ago. The Giants need help on the offensive line. Tackle Erik Flowers has had a tough season. Flowers can’t hold off opposition as well as he should.
Another weakness, is in the running game. The Giants need to use a draft pick to get a better runner. Rashad Jennings hasn’t produced the way the Giants need him to. Paul Perkins has shown promise but the Giants need an every down back on the roster.
Against the Steelers, the Giants took a blow when Jason Pierre-Paul injured his groin. The Giants defense has improved every week, but it is going to be interesting to see how Steve Spagnola improvises without Pierre-Paul. They need to look for a compliment to Pierre-Paul in the draft.
The Giants are looking to make a playoff appearance and will if they keep playing well. This will give them a late first round draft pick, which will be a perfect time to pick up a lineman first.

1. Ryan Ramczyk, Offensive Tackle, Wisconsin
Ryan Ramczyk has had a great year at Wisconsin this season. He has been named to the Walter Camp All-American second team, the Sporting news All-American first team and the All-Big 10 first team. Ramczyk had a solid year at left tackle.
Ramczyk red-shirted last year. In 2014, he was playing at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Points. He was named First team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2014, at UWSP. While there he helped the team reach a number 3 ranking in offensive scoring.
The Giants could use a player like Ramczyk to improve the offensive line. The left side is where the Giants need the most help. Ramczyk moves well on that side and will be able to help protect Manning.
The Badgers were in the top 10 for most of this season. The offensive line helped to keep the quarterback safe and made holes for the running back. Ramczyk has been a key to Wisconsin’s success. He will be ready to help the Giants right away.

2. D’Onta Foreman, Running Back, Texas
D’Onta Foreman would be a perfect fit for the Giants. He has a workhorse mentality and is that every down back that would bring a spark to the Giants offense. Foreman is capable of finding holes and making the most of his rushing attempts.
Foreman is in his third year with the Texas Longhorns. He has played in all 28 games, starting in 10 games. This season, Foreman leads the nation in rushing yards with 2,028 yards on 323 attempts. He is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award and a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Play of the Year Award and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.
Foreman is the first player to reach 1,000 yards in a season at Texas, since Jamaal Charles. He is a big back at 6’1″, 249 lbs. This makes him hard to take down and capable of yards after contact. The Giants need a rusher like Foreman in their back field.
In order for the Giants to have a sound offensive attack, they need a running game. This season the running game is lacking. Without a running game, the Giants are a one-dimensional team. Foreman would be able to open up the offensive, making it easier for Manning.

3. Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame
If Quenton Nelson enters the draft this season, he would be a great addition to the left side of the Giants offensive line. Nelson is great in both the pass and rushing game. He has the ability to overpower defensive linemen.
Nelson is quick for his size and is able to adjust to what is happening around him. Ben McAdoo will be able to take Nelson’s raw talent and make him into a great lineman. Nelson is the type of player that wants to make his team better.
The Giants left side of the line is their weakness. Nelson was named to the Sports Illustrated All-American second team. Notre Dame didn’t have a great season, but Nelson stood out because of what he was able to do on the line. Nelson would be able to provide better protection for Manning.
Nelson is able to create holes for the Giants running game. With his ability to overpower defensive lineman, Nelson could help revive the running game. This would be a good pick for the Giants. They need all the help they can get on the left side of the line, if they want to improve the offense.

4. Chris Wormley, Defensive End, Michigan
Chris Wormley played in the Michigan defense, which was one of the best this season. Wormley is versatile and can play as an end or on the defensive line. He is also good on special teams and has a couple of blocked kicks. This would be beneficial for the Giants and would give them depth on defense.
Wormley was elected captain on the Wolverine defense and started all 12 games at the defensive end position. He has a nose for the ball. Wormley has six sacks on the season. Whether he lines up on the opposite side of JPP inside, he will rush the passer.
The Giants need another pass rusher on the defense. With the defense getting better every week, the Giants would like to add depth to keep players fresh. Wormley will give the Giants the option to bulk up the defensive line or create a pass rush from every angle.
For his career with the Wolverines, Wormely has 32.5 tackles for loss and 18 sacks. This season he has 8.5 tackles for a loss. Wormley is quick off the edge and gets to the players before they have a chance to decide where to go. Wormely will fit in perfectly with the Giants defense.
