Nelson Spruce, Pharoh Cooper Inactive For Los Angeles Rams Against Arizona Cardinals

Both Nelson Spruce and Pharoh Cooper are inactive for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

When it comes to their receiving corps, the Los Angeles Rams rank near the bottom of the league when considering the passing attack is led by Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt. While both wide receivers certainly have the potential to break the 1,000-yard mark for the Rams in 2016, there are other players the team is hoping to see make an impact at some point during the 2016 season–like Nelson Spruce and Pharoh Cooper.

Unfortunately, it looks like Los Angeles is going to have to wait at least one more week before seeing whether either of these players can make that happen.

Both Spruce and Cooper are inactive for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, which is disappointing to hear when considering there was some hope earlier in the week these two players would end up playing. While Spruce is recovering from a knee sprain suffered in the preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys, Cooper has been dealing with a shoulder injury that has kept him on the sidelines.

Fans were hoping this would finally be the week of seeing Spruce and Cooper’s regular-season debuts, but that’s not going to happen against the Cardinals.

In limited action during the preseason, Spruce and Cooper showed plenty of potential as they seemed capable of making impacts as rookies. As frustrating as this may be for Rams fans to see, it’s better to be safe than sorry as the extra rest certainly can’t hurt for the wide receivers.
